The Issues

Affordable Housing

Let's face it: skyrocketing housing costs are displacing our community and too many households are rent burdened. Everyone deserves safe and affordable housing and I am committed to bringing that to Ward 2. This includes expanding housing options to include 'deeply affordable' units, so that those at a very low income can also have housing security.

Public Transportation

We're largely a neighborhood of public transportation users. It's time we have transportation that's accessible, safe, and reliable for everyone. I will work to ensure there are efficient connections between buses, train, biking, and pedestrian pathways.

Workforce Development

I've spent my career working to ensure everyone has access to quality employment and training options. We have an unprecedented opportunity for residents to get union jobs with the new development at Suffolk Downs and I will continue to prioritize resident access to these positions.

Childcare

Childcare is also essential to our workforce. Revere households searching for care face excessive wait times and soaring costs. I will support policies that help existing providers expand their businesses, while supporting the creation of new ones.

Environmental Justice

The COVID pandemic's disproportionate impact on Revere put renewed focus on the connection between the environment and public health. I will work to enhance our green spaces and support tree planting initiatives. These efforts are vital to improving air quality, mitigating heat islands, and promoting social cohesion.
